Man sagt, die Liebe der Mutter zum Sohn sei hundertfach größer als die des Vaters. Angesichts dieser Fülle an Zuneigung erkennen die Weisen die Mutter als höchst verehrungswürdig an.
Narada (instructional narration within the Uttara-Bhaga context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It elevates mātr̥-sevā (service to one’s mother) as a core dharmic value, teaching that recognizing and honoring the mother’s extraordinary love is itself a form of righteous conduct.
By highlighting selfless, protective love, it mirrors the bhakti ideal of unconditional affection; reverence to the mother trains the heart in humility and gratitude—qualities that mature into devotion toward Bhagavan.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyakarana, Jyotisha, or Kalpa) is taught directly; the practical takeaway is sadācāra—ethical discipline and respectful conduct toward parents as a lived application of Dharma.
