तस्माद्विप्रा न कर्त्व्या विद्धाप्येकादशी तिथिः । यथा हंतिपुरा पुण्यं श्राद्धं च वृषलीपतिः ॥ ४४ ॥
tasmādviprā na kartvyā viddhāpyekādaśī tithiḥ | yathā haṃtipurā puṇyaṃ śrāddhaṃ ca vṛṣalīpatiḥ || 44 ||
Darum, o Brahmanen, soll die Ekādaśī-Tithi nicht eingehalten werden, wenn sie „viddhā“ ist (von einer anderen Tithi durchstoßen/überlagert). Wie der Gatte einer Śūdra-Frau das Verdienst einer Stadt vernichtet, so verdirbt er auch das Verdienst eines Śrāddha.
