FAQs

It emphasizes steadfastness in sadācāra (right conduct): even amid morally compromising surroundings and pressure, one should remain anchored in dharma and act for true welfare (hita).

By highlighting loyalty to hita and sadācāra, it supports the bhakti ideal that devotion is not merely emotion but disciplined living—purity of conduct that protects one’s spiritual direction even in adverse company.

No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught directly; the practical takeaway is dharma-nīti—ethical restraint (niyama) and discernment (viveka) in social situations, which supports all ritual and devotional practice.
