The Narrative of the Pativrata
Suta (narrating the Purana account in Uttara-Bhaga style; internal characters unspecified in this single verse)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights dharmic conduct through compassionate care—removing another’s fatigue and providing rightful comforts—presented as meritorious behavior within a Tirtha-Mahatmya setting.
While not explicitly naming Vishnu-bhakti here, the verse supports bhakti’s practical expression: seva (service) and kindness to others, especially in sacred contexts, as a lived form of devotion.
No specific Vedanga (e.g., Vyakarana, Jyotisha, Kalpa) is directly taught in this verse; the emphasis is instead on dharmic practice—hospitality and relief of weariness—as part of righteous conduct.
