Adhyaya 82 — The Rise of Mahishasura and the Manifestation of the Goddess from the Gods’ Tejas
छिन्नेऽपि चान्ये शिरसि पतिताः पुनरुत्थिताः ।
कबन्धा युयुधुर्देव्याः गृहीतपरमायुधाः ॥
chinne 'pi cānye śirasi patitāḥ punar utthitāḥ | kabandhā yuyudhur devyā gṛhītaparamāyudhāḥ ||
Selbst wenn ihnen die Köpfe abgeschlagen waren, erhoben sich manche, obgleich gefallen, wieder; als kopflose Rümpfe (Kabandhas) ergriffen sie ihre besten Waffen und kämpften gegen die Göttin.
