Adhyaya 80 — Vaivasvata Manvantara: Enumeration of Manus and the Eighth Manu Sāvarṇi
The succession of Manus conveys that righteous governance is not accidental but cyclically restored; ‘equal to the earlier Manu’ signals an ideal of continuity in dharmic standards across eras.
Manvantara: direct identification of the next Manu (8th) and his lineage marker, setting up the era’s administration details.
The pairing of Chāyā (shadow) and Saṃjñā (consciousness/name) in lineage language can be read symbolically as the integration of latent and manifest aspects that generate a new cosmic administrator (Manu).
