Adhyaya 61The Second Manvantara Begins: The Brahmin’s Swift Journey and Varuthini’s Temptation on Himavat

अनेकदेशदर्शित्वेनातिश्रमसमान्वितः ।

त्वं नातिवृद्धो वयसा नातिवृत्तश्च यौवनात् ।

कथम् अल्पेन कालेन पृथिवीमटसि द्विज ॥

aneka-deśa-darśitvenātiśrama-samānvitaḥ |

tvaṁ nāti-vṛddho vayasā nāti-vṛttaś ca yauvanāt |

katham alpena kālena pṛthivīm aṭasi dvija ||

Du hast viele Länder gezeigt, als wärest du von großer Mühsal beschwert; doch bist du weder sehr alt noch über die Jugend hinaus. Wie durchstreifst du in so kurzer Zeit die Erde, o Brāhmaṇa?
