Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
जड उवाच एवमुक्त्वा ययौ सोऽथ सह ताभ्यां नृपात्मजः ।
प्राप्तश्च गोमतीं पुण्यां निर्गम्य नगराद्वहिः ॥
jaḍa uvāca evam uktvā yayau so 'tha saha tābhyāṃ nṛpātmajaḥ / prāptaś ca gomatīṃ puṇyāṃ nirgamya nagarād bahiḥ
Jaḍa sprach: „Nachdem er so gesprochen hatte, zog der Königssohn sodann zusammen mit jenen beiden aus; und nachdem er die Stadt verlassen hatte, gelangte er an den heiligen Fluss Gomati.“
