Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
करोत्यात्महितं कुर्वन् विश्वासञ्च महाजने ।
देवताः पितरो विप्रा मित्रार्थिविकलादयः ॥
karoty ātma-hitaṃ kurvan viśvāsaṃ ca mahā-jane | devatāḥ pitaro viprā mitra-arthi-vikalādayaḥ ||
Indem er so handelt, vollbringt er sein eigenes Wohl und gewinnt Vertrauen unter den Großen. Die Götter, die Ahnen, die Brāhmaṇas, Freunde, Bittenden, Bedrängten und andere richten sich an einen solchen Menschen.
