शोचतां बान्धवानां ये निःश्वसन्तोऽतिदुःखिताः ।
म्रियन्ते व्याधिना क्लिष्टास्तेषां माता वृथाप्रजा ॥
Transliteration
śocatāṃ bāndhavānāṃ ye niḥśvasanto 'tiduḥkhitāḥ | mriyante vyādhinā kliṣṭās teṣāṃ mātā vṛthāprajā ||
Translation
Diejenigen, die, während ihre Verwandten trauern, elend zugrunde gehen—seufzend, überaus gequält, von Krankheit bedrängt—für solche Männer ist die Mutterschaft der Mutter vergeblich.
