Adhyaya 18 — Arjuna Declines the Throne; Garga Directs Him to Dattatreya; The Gods Defeat the Daityas through Dattatreya’s Vision and the Movement of Lakshmi
योगयुक्तं महाभागं सर्वत्र समदर्शिनम् ।
विष्णोरंशं जगद्धातुरवतीर्णं महीतले ॥
yoga-yuktaṃ mahā-bhāgaṃ sarvatra sama-darśinam | viṣṇor aṃśaṃ jagad-dhātur avatīrṇaṃ mahī-tale ||
Dem Yoga hingegeben, ruhmvoll, schaut er alle mit gleichem Blick; als Emanation Viṣṇus, des Erhalters der Welt, stieg er zur Erde herab.

The ideal spiritual guide for a ruler is described not by lineage or power but by yogic steadiness and impartial vision—virtues that counteract bias, anger, and greed in governance.
The verse supports devotional-theological material within narrative; it is not itself sarga/pratisarga/manvantara/vaṃśa/vaṃśānucarita, though it can accompany vaṃśānucarita episodes.
‘Equal vision everywhere’ is a mark of non-dual insight: the ruler who aligns with such a teacher learns to administer justice without personal attachment.
