भीमस्य बल्लव-प्रतिज्ञा तथा अर्जुनस्य बृहन्नडा-रूप-निर्णयः

Bhīma’s Ballava Vow and Arjuna’s Decision to Become Bṛhannadā

ये च केचिन्नियोत्स्यन्ति समाजेषु नियोधका: । तानहं हि नियोत्स्यामि रतिं तस्य विवर्धयन्‌,तथा जो कोई भी मल्लयुद्ध करनेवाले पहलवान जनसमाजमें दंगल करना चाहेंगे, राजाका प्रेम बढ़ानेके, लिये मैं उनसे भी भिड़ जाऊँगा

ye ca kecin niyotsyanti samājeṣu niyodhakāḥ | tān ahaṃ hi niyotsyāmi ratiṃ tasya vivardhayan |

Bhīmasena sprach: „Und wenn in den öffentlichen Versammlungen irgendwelche Ringer einen Kampf suchen, werde auch ich ihnen entgegentreten—um die Freude jenes Königs zu mehren.“
