द्रौपद्याः भीमसेन-प्रबोधनम्
Draupadī Awakens Bhīmasena
नाहमेतेन युक्त वै हन्तुं मत्स्य तवान्तिके । सभासदोऊत्र पश्यन्तु कीचकस्य व्यतिक्रमम्,“यह राजा होकर भी कीचकके प्रति कुछ भी राजोचित न्याय नहीं कर रहा है। मत्स्यराज! तुम्हारा यह लुटेरोंका-सा धर्म इस राजसभामें शोभा नहीं देता। तुम्हारे निकट इस कीचकढद्वारा मुझपर मार पड़ी, यह कदापि उचित नहीं कहा जा सकता। यहाँ जो सभासद् बैठे हैं, वे भी कीचकका यह अत्याचार देखें
vaiśampāyana uvāca | nāham etena yukta vai hantuṁ matsya tavāntike | sabhāsado 'tra paśyantu kīcakasya vyatikramam ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana sprach: „O König der Matsyas, ich bin nicht verpflichtet, dies hier in deiner Gegenwart zu erdulden. Die Mitglieder der Versammlung sollen Kīcakas Übertretung bezeugen. Ein König, der Gewalt und Gesetzlosigkeit im Hof zulässt, verfehlt königliche Gerechtigkeit; diese Schmach, die man mir an deiner Seite antut, kann nicht als angemessen gelten.“
