Virāṭanagara-nivāsa-nirṇaya

Decision to Reside in Virāṭa’s City

तथा स तु वरॉल्लब्ध्वा धर्मो धर्मभूतां वर: । गत्वा55श्रमं ब्राह्मणेभ्य आचख्यौ सर्वमेव तत्‌

tathā sa tu varāl labdhvā dharmo dharmabhūtāṁ varaḥ | gatvā āśramaṁ brāhmaṇebhya ācakhyau sarvam eva tat ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Nachdem Dharma so den Segen erlangt hatte—der Vortrefflichste unter den Rechtschaffenen—ging er zur Einsiedelei und berichtete den Brahmanen die ganze Begebenheit. Die Episode betont, dass selbst wenn ein göttlicher Zweck am Werk ist, die Ereignisse wahrheitsgemäß zu melden und vor gelehrte Zeugen zu bringen sind, damit das Handeln mit dem Dharma übereinstimmt.
