Dhaumya’s Enumeration of Eastern Tīrthas
Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana
The verse highlights tīrtha-bathing as a dharmic discipline: external purification at a sacred place is presented as supporting inner clarity, restraint, and renewed commitment to righteous conduct.
Pulastya continues instructing the listener (addressed as ‘best of the Bharatas’) in a sequence of pilgrimage sites, stating that one should bathe at Badarikā-tīrtha and then proceed to the next stage of the journey.
