Kali and Dvāpara’s Resolve Against Nala
katham āgamanaṃ ceha kathaṃ cāsi na lakṣitaḥ | surakṣitaṃ hi me veśma rājā caivograśāsanaḥ ||
The verse highlights the ethical expectation of vigilance and order in a ruler’s domain: a well-guarded household and a strict king imply that entry without detection is unusual, prompting inquiry into intent and method.
Bṛhadaśva questions an arrival: he asks how the person came there and why they were not detected, emphasizing that his residence is guarded and that the king maintains strict control.
