पप्रच्छ मातलिं प्रीत्या स चाप्येनममुवाच ह । एते सुकृतिन:ः पार्थ स्वेषु धिष्ण्येष्ववस्थिता:
papraccha mātaliṁ prītyā sa cāpy enam amuvāca ha | ete sukṛtinaḥ pārtha sveṣu dhiṣṇyeṣv avasthitāḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana sprach: In Zuneigung fragte er Mātali, und Mātali erwiderte ihm: „O Pārtha, dies sind die Verdienstvollen; ein jeder weilt in seiner ihm zugewiesenen himmlischen Stätte.“
