Śiva Grants the Pāśupata Astra (Pāśupata-Śastra Upadeśa) | शिवेन पाशुपतास्त्रदानम्
ततोअर्जुन: परं चक्रे विस्मयं परवीरहा । मया साक्षान्महादेवो दृष्ट इत्येव भारत,भारत! तदनन्तर शत्रुवीरोंका संहार करनेवाले अर्जुनको यह सोचकर बड़ा आश्चर्य हुआ कि आज मुझे महादेवजीका प्रत्यक्ष दर्शन प्राप्त हुआ है
tato 'rjunaḥ paraṃ cakre vismayaṃ paravīrahā | mayā sākṣān mahādevo dṛṣṭa ityeva bhārata ||
Da geriet Arjuna, der Bezwinger feindlicher Helden, in tiefes Staunen und dachte: „O Bhārata, wahrlich, ich habe Mahādeva von Angesicht zu Angesicht geschaut.“
