अर्जुनस्य इन्द्रकीलगमनम् तथा शक्रसाक्षात्कारः
Arjuna’s journey to Indrakīla and encounter with Indra
सदोपस्पर्शनाच्चास्य बभूवुरमितौजस: । विद्युदम्भोरुहनिभा जटास्तस्य महात्मन:,अमित तेजस्वी महात्मा अर्जुनके सिरकी जटाएँ नित्य स्नान करनेके कारण विद्युत् और कमलोंके समान हो गयी थीं
sadopasparśanāc cāsya babhūvur amitaujasaḥ | vidyud-ambhoruha-nibhā jaṭās tasya mahātmanaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Und weil er unablässig die rituellen Waschungen vollzog, glichen die verfilzten Haarsträhnen (jaṭā) jenes großherzigen, an Kraft Unermesslichen dem Blitz und den Stängeln des Lotos — ein Bild disziplinierter Reinheit und asketischer Selbstzucht, die selbst die äußere Gestalt eines Helden prägt.
