ki nu taj japatāṃ śreṣṭha karṇa prati mahad bhayam | āsīj na ca sa dharmātmā kathayāmāsa kasyacit ||
Janamejaya fragte: „O Bester unter den Rezitatoren der heiligen Überlieferung, was war jene große Furcht in Bezug auf Karṇa? Und weshalb offenbarte jener Rechtschaffene sie niemandem?“
