तदेव सर्व सावित्र्या महाभाग्यं॑ महर्षय: । द्युमत्सेनाय नातृप्पन् कथयन्तः पुनः पुनः
tadeva sarva-sāvitryā mahābhāgyaṁ maharṣayaḥ | dyumatsenāya nātṛppan kathayantaḥ punaḥ punaḥ ||
Mārkaṇḍeya sprach: „Die großen Weisen, die immer wieder die ganze gesegnete Geschichte Sāvitrīs erzählten, wurden nicht satt, sie Dyumatsena vorzutragen.“
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights the inexhaustible moral and spiritual value of Sāvitrī’s exemplary virtue: a dharmic life is so inspiring that even sages do not tire of recounting it, and listeners benefit from repeated hearing.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes how the sages repeatedly narrated the full, auspicious account of Sāvitrī to Dyumatsena, and despite telling it many times, they never felt satiated—emphasizing the story’s enduring significance.
