Adhiratha-Rādhā Discover the Casket; Vasuṣeṇa (Karṇa) is Adopted and Formed
The verse underscores that dharma is upheld not merely by suspicion or public pressure but by truthful, authoritative testimony and moral clarity. Varuṇa’s declaration functions as a cosmic validation of Sītā’s purity, urging Rāma to align his conduct with righteousness by accepting her.
Varuṇa addresses Rāma and asserts his dominion over the water-element present in all bodies, using that authority to certify Sītā (Maithilī) as blameless and to instruct Rāma to receive her back.
