Mudgalasya Svarga-nirvedaḥ
Mudgala’s Disenchantment with Heaven
Wrongdoing is not merely personal; it becomes a matter for ethical scrutiny when it affects others. The verse highlights responsible governance: facts are brought before a dharmic ruler so that judgment and response can be guided by righteousness rather than rumor or impulse.
A group of people approach King Yudhiṣṭhira and narrate the full account of Duryodhana’s actions and schemes. The scene functions as a formal reporting of events to the central moral authority among the Pāṇḍavas.
