Educational Q&A

As a colophon, the verse does not teach a doctrine directly; it frames the ethical and political weight of counsel by highlighting that the chapter’s focus was Karṇa and Śakuni’s speech—reminding readers that words, advice, and strategy shape outcomes and moral responsibility in the epic.

This is the formal closing statement for the chapter: it announces that the 237th chapter of the Ghoṣayātrā section within the Vana Parva—centered on the statements of Karṇa and Śakuni—has concluded, preparing the reader for the next chapter’s events.
