अपतन्‌ भूतले राजंश्छिन्ना भ्राणीव सर्वश: । राजन! देवताओंके बाणोंसे विदीर्ण हुए वे दैत्योंके शरीर सब प्रकारसे छिन्न-भिन्न हुए बादलोंके समान धरतीपर गिरने लगे

Transliteration

apatan bhūtale rājaṁś chinnā bhrāṇīva sarvaśaḥ | rājan devatānāṁ bāṇair vidīrṇāḥ te daityānāṁ śarīrāḥ sarvaprakāraṁ chinna-bhinnāḥ badalān iva dharītale patitum ārabdhāḥ ||

Translation

Mārkaṇḍeya sprach: „O König, jene Daityas, von den Pfeilen der Götter aufgerissen, stürzten zur Erde. Ihre Leiber, in jeder Weise zerschmettert und zertrennt, krachten zu Boden wie wogende Wolkenmassen.“
