Kaurava Court Hears of the Pāṇḍavas’ Forest Hardship (वैचित्रवीर्यवंशीयस्य राज्ञः करुणाविचारः)
सदैवावां भगिन्यौ तु सखीभि: सह मानसम् | आगच्छावेह रत्यर्थमनुज्ञाप्य प्रजापतिम्,हम दोनों बहिनें अपनी सखियोंके साथ प्रजापतिकी आज्ञा लेकर सदा क्रीडाविहारके लिये इस मानस पर्वतपर आया करती थीं
sadaivāvāṃ bhaginayau tu sakhībhiḥ saha mānasam | āgacchāveha ratyartham anujñāpya prajāpatiṃ ||
Yudhiṣṭhira sprach: „Wir beiden Schwestern kamen stets mit unseren Freundinnen hierher, zum Mānasaparvata, um zu spielen und uns zu ergehen—doch erst, nachdem wir Prajāpati um Erlaubnis gebeten hatten.“
युधिषछ्िर उवाच
Even in matters of enjoyment, one should act with restraint and propriety—seeking rightful permission and honoring established authority (a dharmic model of regulated pleasure rather than impulsive indulgence).
