Educational Q&A

As a colophon, the verse does not teach through direct instruction; it frames the episode as a purposeful dialogue between Yudhiṣṭhira and Arjuna during exile, highlighting that ethical deliberation (dharma-vicāra) and steadfast resolve are integral to action, especially when conflict looms.

This is an end-of-chapter notice stating that Adhyāya 169 has concluded. It identifies the setting (Gandhamādana), the speakers/subject (Yudhiṣṭhira–Arjuna dialogue), and situates it within the broader Nivātakavaca battle section of the Vana Parva.
