तैश्नतुर्भिमहेष्वासैर्गिरिशुड्रमशो भत । लोकपालैर्महाभागैर्दिवं देववरैरिव,जैसे महान्‌ भाग्यशाली देवश्रेष्ठ इन्द्र आदि लोकपालोंके द्वारा स्वर्गलोककी शोभा होती है, उसी प्रकार उन चार महाधनुर्धर बन्धुओंसे उस समय वह पर्वत-शिखर सुशोभित हो रहा था

taiś caturbhir maheṣvāsair giriśṛṅgram aśobhat | lokapālair mahābhāgair divaṁ deva-varair iva ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Jener Berggipfel erstrahlte damals in Schönheit durch jene vier mächtigen Bogenschützen, die Brüder, so wie der Himmel durch die ruhmreichen Lokapālas, die Hüter der Welten, die Vornehmsten unter den Göttern, geschmückt wird. Der Vers betont, dass wahre Vortrefflichkeit und disziplinierte Kunst einem Ort Glanz verleihen können, wenn sie mit Würde und nicht mit Überheblichkeit getragen werden.
