न भीमसेने कोपो मे प्रीतो5स्मि भरतर्षभ । कर्मणा: भीमसेनस्य मम तुष्टिरभूत् पुरा,“भरतश्रेष्ठ) भीमसेनपर मेरा क्रोध नहीं है। मैं इनपर प्रसन्न हूँ। भीमसेनके कार्यसे मुझे पहले भी प्रसन्नता प्राप्त हो चुकी है”
na bhīmasene kopo me prīto ’smi bharatarṣabha | karmaṇā bhīmasenasya mama tuṣṭir abhūt purā ||
O Stier unter den Bharatas, ich hege keinen Zorn gegen Bhīmasena; vielmehr bin ich ihm gewogen. Wahrlich, schon früher haben Bhīmasenas Taten mein Wohlgefallen gewonnen.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights ethical discernment in judgment: anger should not be held where merit and righteous action are evident. Worthy deeds (karma) can earn trust and satisfaction, encouraging leaders to evaluate conduct fairly rather than reactively.
Vaiśampāyana reports that the speaker (addressing a Bharata prince as ‘bharatarṣabha’) explicitly withdraws any suspicion or displeasure toward Bhīmasena, affirming continued approval based on Bhīma’s past and present actions.
