मैत्रेयागमनम् — The Arrival of Maitreya and the Admonition to Duryodhana
ततो निष्कण्टकं कृत्वा वनं तदपराजित: । द्रौपद्या सह धर्मज्ञो वसतिं तामुवास ह,तदनन्तर विजयी एवं धर्मज्ञ पाण्डुकुमार उस वनको निष्कण्टक (राक्षसरहित) बनाकर द्रौपदीके साथ वहाँ रहने लगे
tato niṣkaṇṭakaṃ kṛtvā vanaṃ tad aparājitaḥ | draupadyā saha dharmajño vasatiṃ tām uvāsa ha ||
Darauf machte der Sohn Pāṇḍus — des Dharma kundig, standhaft und unbesiegt — jenen Wald dornen- und gefahrfrei und wohnte dort in jener Stätte zusammen mit Draupadī.
विदुर उवाच
Dharma is shown as constructive and protective: the righteous leader first removes dangers and establishes a safe, orderly environment, then lives in restraint and duty even in exile.
After overcoming threats in the forest and making it safe, the (unconquered) dharma-knowing son of Pāṇḍu settles there with Draupadī and resides in that dwelling.
