विदुरस्य कृष्णं प्रति शमोपदेशः
Vidura’s Counsel to Krishna on the Limits of Peace
ततो<नुयायिभि: सार्थ मरुद्धिरिव वासव: । विदुरान्नानि बुभुजे शुचीनि गुणवन्ति च,तदनन्तर देवताओंसहित इन्द्रकी भाँति अनुचरोंसहित भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने विदुरजीके पवित्र एवं गुणकारक अन्न-पान ग्रहण किये
tato 'nuyāyibhiḥ sārthaṃ marudbhir iva vāsavaḥ | vidurānnāni bubhuje śucīni guṇavanti ca ||
Dann nahm Śrī Kṛṣṇa, von seinen Begleitern umgeben — wie Vāsava (Indra) von den Maruts — die Speise an, die Vidura darbrachte: reine, heilsame Kost, der Tugend zuträglich.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Purity of heart and righteous conduct make an offering truly worthy; even the greatest accept and honor sincere, dharmic hospitality rather than mere status or luxury.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Kṛṣṇa, accompanied by his attendants, accepts and eats Vidura’s pure, virtuous food—likened to Indra moving with the Maruts—highlighting Vidura’s moral stature and Kṛṣṇa’s regard for dharma.
