Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Reception Plan for Janārdana (Kṛṣṇa): Gifts, Procession, and Protocol
The verse presents Mādhava (Kṛṣṇa) as the sustaining lord of all beings and the foundation of worldly stability, emphasizing that ideal governance and moral order rest on virtues such as steadfastness (dhṛti), valor (vīrya), wisdom (prajñā), and radiant power (ojas).
Vaiśampāyana is describing Mādhava’s supreme status and qualities within the Udyoga Parva’s pre-war context, where Kṛṣṇa’s role as guide and upholder of order is being highlighted as decisive for the fate of the world and the coming conflict.
