प्रसादमेषां दास्यामि कुन्तीपुत्रो$नुमन्यताम् । दुर्योधनाय तत् सर्व कथयन्ति सम विस्मिता:,“मैं इन सबको अपनी प्रसन्नताके फलस्वरूप कुछ पुरस्कार दूँगा, कुन्तीनन्दन युधिष्ठिरको भी मेरे इस व्यवहारका अनुमोदन करना चाहिये।” यह सुनकर सब सेवकोंने विस्मित हो दुर्योधनसे वे सारी बातें बतायीं
prasādam eṣāṁ dāsyāmi kuntīputro 'numanyatām | duryodhanāya tat sarvaṁ kathayanti sma vismitāḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Ich werde diesen Leuten als Zeichen meiner Gunst Belohnungen gewähren; und der Sohn Kuntīs (Yudhiṣṭhira) soll dieses mein Verhalten billigen.“ Als die Diener dies hörten, gingen sie, erstaunt, und berichteten Duryodhana die ganze Angelegenheit.
