उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय ७७: पुरुषकार–दैवसंयोगः तथा दुष्टमन्त्रपरामर्शस्य राजनैतिक-परिणामः
Human Effort, Contingency, and the Political Effects of Corrupt Counsel
सम्पाद्यमानं सम्यक् च स्यात् कर्म सफल प्रभो । स तथा कृष्ण वर्तस्व यथा शर्म भवेत् परैः:
sampādyamānaṃ samyak ca syāt karma saphala prabho | sa tathā kṛṣṇa vartasva yathā śarma bhavet paraiḥ ||
O Herr! Eine Aufgabe kann, wenn sie richtig und mit gebührender Sorgfalt ausgeführt wird, Frucht tragen. Darum, o Kṛṣṇa, handle so, dass zwischen uns und den anderen — unseren Gegnern — Frieden und Sicherheit entstehen, damit ein Ausgleich mit dem Feind möglich werde.
