ये केचित् पार्थिवास्तत्र धार्तराष्ट्रेण संवृता: । युद्धे समागमिष्यन्ति तुमुले शस्त्रसंकुले
ye kecit pārthivās tatra dhārtarāṣṭreṇa saṃvṛtāḥ | yuddhe samāgamiṣyanti tumule śastra-saṅkule ||
Sanjaya sprach: „Welche Könige auch immer dort auf jener Seite unter Dhritarashtras Banner versammelt sind—diese Herrscher werden sich zur Schlacht zusammenfinden, in einer wilden Begegnung, dicht gedrängt von Waffen.“
संजय उवाच
