प्राज्ञोपसेविन वैद्यं धार्मिकं प्रियदर्शनम् । मित्रवन्तं सुवाक्यं च सुहृदं परिपालयेत्
prājñopasevinaṃ vaidyaṃ dhārmikaṃ priyadarśanam | mitravantaṃ suvākyaṃ ca suhṛdaṃ paripālayet ||
Vidura sprach: Man soll einen wohlwollenden Freund mit aller Sorgfalt schützen und stützen—einen, der den Umgang mit den Weisen pflegt, kundig ist wie ein Arzt, nach Dharma lebt, angenehm anzusehen ist, reich an Freundschaften und süß sowie treffend spricht. Ein solcher Mensch ist ein Schutz für das Wohlergehen und muss mit allem Einsatz bewahrt werden.
