धर्ममाचरतो राज्ञ: सद्धिश्नरितमादित: । वसुधा वसुसम्पूर्णा वर्धते भूतिवर्धिनी,परम्परासे सज्जन पुरुषोंद्वारा किये हुए धर्मका आचरण करनेवाले राजाके राज्यकी पृथ्वी धन-धान्यसे पूर्ण होकर उन्नतिको प्राप्त होती है और उसके ऐश्वर्यको बढ़ाती है

Transliteration

dharmam ācarato rājñaḥ saddhiṣṇaritam āditaḥ | vasudhā vasusampūrṇā vardhate bhūtivardhinī ||

Translation

Vidura sprach: Wenn ein König Dharma übt—indem er von Anfang an dem wohlbegründeten Wandel folgt, den die Tugendhaften tragen—dann füllt sich die Erde seines Reiches mit Reichtum und Korn. Ein solches Königreich gedeiht beständig, und Glück wie Herrschaft des Königs werden gefestigt.
