सम्प्राप्य हास्तिनपुरं शीघ्रमेव प्रविश्य च । अन्त:पुरं समास्थाय द्वा:स्थं वचनमब्रवीत् २ ।। हस्तिनापुर पहुँचकर उन्होंने शीघ्र ही राजभवनमें प्रवेश किया और अन्तःपुरके निकट जाकर द्वारपालसे कहा--
samprāpya hāstinapuraṁ śīghram eva praviśya ca | antaḥpuraṁ samāsthāya dvāḥsthaṁ vacanam abravīt || 2 ||
Als er Hāstinapura erreicht hatte, betrat er unverzüglich die königliche Residenz. Nahe den inneren Gemächern richtete er eine Botschaft an den Türhüter.
