वैशम्पायन उवाच
As a colophon, the verse does not teach through argument but through framing: it signals that deliberation has given way to action, highlighting the ethical weight of choices that culminate in war and the momentum that follows once a collective commits to violence.
The narrator (Vaiśaṃpāyana) announces the completion of Adhyāya 195 in the Udyoga Parva, specifically the portion connected with the Ambā episode, and notes that this chapter concerned the Kaurava army’s departure to wage war.
