पुत्रस्नेहान्महाबाहु: सुखं पर्यचरत् तदा । सर्वनिभिप्रायकृतान् भार्यालभत कौरव,कुरुनन्दन! महाबाहु ट्रुपदने भावी पुत्रके प्रति स्नेह होनेके कारण अपनी प्यारी पत्नीको बड़े सुखसे रखा। उसका आदर-सत्कार किया। कुरुकुलरत्न! रानीको जिन-जिन वस्तुओंकी इच्छा हुई, वे सब उनके सामने प्रस्तुत की गयीं
putrasnehān mahābāhuḥ sukhaṃ paryacarat tadā | sarvanibhīprāyakṛtān bhāryālabhata kaurava ||
Bhishma sprach: „Von Zuneigung zu dem Sohn bewegt, der geboren werden sollte, lebte der starkarmige Fürst damals in Behagen und behandelte seine geliebte Königin mit großer Freude. O Spross des Kuru-Geschlechts, er erwies ihr Ehre und sorgte dafür, dass alles, wonach sie verlangte, unverzüglich vor sie gebracht wurde.“
