भीष्मस्वप्न-स्मृत्युपाख्यानम् | Bhīṣma’s Dream-Linked Recollection of the Paraśurāma Combat
“भगवन्! आपका कहना ठीक है। वास्तवमें ये उदारबुद्धि भीष्म युद्धमें देवताओंके लिये भी अजेय हैं ।।
bhagavan! āp kā kahanā ṭhīk hai. vastav meṃ ye udārabuddhi bhīṣma yuddha meṃ devatāoṃ ke liye bhī ajeya haiṃ. yathāśakti yathotsāhaṃ mama kāryaṃ kṛtaṃ tvayā. anivāryaṃ raṇe vīryam astrāṇi vividhāni ca.
Rāma sagte: „Ehrwürdiger, was du gesagt hast, ist richtig. Wahrlich, der edelsinnige Bhīṣma ist im Kampf unbesiegbar — selbst für die Götter. Mit all deiner Kraft und mit vollem Eifer hast du meine Aufgabe erfüllt. Im Krieg hast du eine Tapferkeit gezeigt, die niemand außer Bhīṣma hätte aufhalten können, und du hast auch vielerlei göttliche Waffen hervorgebracht.“
