Bhishma’s Account of Parashurama’s Challenge and the March to Kurukshetra
स मुक्तो न््यपतत् तूर्ण सब्ये पाश्वे महाहवे । येनाहं भृशमुद्विग्नो व्याघूर्णित इव द्रुम:,उस महान् युद्धमें उनके धनुषसे छूटा हुआ वह बाण तुरंत मेरी बायीं पसलीपर पड़ा, जिससे मैं अत्यन्त उद्विग्न होकर वृक्षकी भाँति झूमने लगा
sa mukto nyapatat tūrṇaṃ savye pārśve mahāhave | yenāhaṃ bhṛśam udvigno vyāghūrṇita iva drumaḥ ||
Bhīṣma sprach: „Aus seinem Bogen gelöst, traf mich jener Pfeil mitten in der großen Schlacht rasch an der linken Seite. Durch diesen Schlag geriet ich in heftige Erregung und schwankte wie ein Baum, den eine gewaltige Kraft peitscht und herumwirbelt.“
