उपपन्नं महाशस्त्रै: सर्वोपकरणान्वितम्‌ | तत्कुलीनेन वीरेण हयशास्त्रविदा रणे

Transliteration

upapannaṁ mahāśastraiḥ sarvopakaraṇānvitam | tatkulīnena vīreṇa hayaśāstravidā raṇe

Translation

Bhishma sprach: „Er war mit mächtigen Waffen ausgerüstet und mit allem Kriegsgerät versehen; und in der Schlacht wurde er von einem Helden eben dieses Geschlechts gelenkt, kundig in der Lehre von den Pferden.“
