Educational Q&A

Dharma often begins with careful deliberation: the righteous do not act impulsively, but reflect on what is proper—especially when another’s welfare (here, a maiden’s) is at stake.

After prior events, a group of ascetics focus their attention on a maiden and, moved by duty, prepare to intervene; they confer among themselves about the right course of action.
