ते स्मरन्तश्न संग्रामे चरिष्यन्ति च रुद्रवत् । द्यूतक्रीड़ाके समय द्रौपदीको जो महान् क्लेश दिया गया और पाण्डवोंके प्रति कठोर बातें सुनायी गयीं, उन सबको याद करके वे संग्रामभूमिमें रुद्रके समान विचरेंगे
te smarantas tu saṅgrāme cariṣyanti ca rudravat | dyūtakrīḍā-kāle draupadyā mahān kleśo yaḥ pradattaḥ pāṇḍavān prati ca kaṭhorāṇi vacāṃsi śrāvitāni tāni sarvāṇi smṛtvā te raṇabhūmau rudrasamaṃ vicariṣyanti |
Bhīṣma sprach: „Daran gedenkend mitten im Kampf, werden sie wie Rudra umherziehen. Wenn sie sich der großen Schmach erinnern, die Draupadī zur Zeit des Würfelspiels angetan wurde, und der harten Worte, die gegen die Pāṇḍavas geschleudert wurden, werden sie über das Schlachtfeld streifen wie Rudra.“
