लोहाभिसारो निर्वेत्त: कुरुक्षेत्रमकर्दमम्‌ । पुष्टास्तेडश्वा भूता योधा: श्वो युद्धयस्व सकेशव:,“अब लोहमय अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंकोी बाहर निकालकर तैयार करनेका कार्य पूरा हो चुका है। कुरुक्षेत्रक्री कीच भी सूख गयी है। तुम्हारे घोड़े खूब हृष्ट-पुष्ट हैं और सैनिकोंका भी तुमने अच्छी तरह भरण-पोषण किया है; अतः कल सबेरेसे ही श्रीकृष्णके साथ आकर युद्ध करो

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | lohābhisāro nirvṛttaḥ kurukṣetram akardamam | puṣṭās te 'śvā bhūtā yodhāḥ śvo yudhyasva sa-keśavaḥ ||

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: „Die Vorbereitungen des Eisens—Waffen und Kriegsgerät—sind vollendet. Kurukṣetra ist nun ohne Morast, der Boden ist getrocknet. Deine Pferde sind wohlgenährt und stark, und die Krieger sind angemessen versorgt. Darum komm morgen im Morgengrauen mit Kṛṣṇa an deiner Seite und tritt in die Schlacht.“
