Karna–Krishna Dialogue: Omens and Dream-Signs
यदा द्रक्ष्यसि संग्रामे माद्रीपुत्रो महाबलौ । वाहिनी धार्तराष्ट्राणां क्षोभयन्तौ गजाविव
sañjaya uvāca | yadā drakṣyasi saṅgrāme mādrīputrau mahābalau | vāhinīṁ dhārtarāṣṭrāṇāṁ kṣobhayantau gajāv iva ||
Sañjaya sprach: „Wenn du auf dem Schlachtfeld die beiden gewaltigen Söhne Mādrīs — Nakula und Sahadeva — erblickst, wie sie das Heer der Söhne Dhṛtarāṣṭras wie zwei große Elefanten aufwühlen und in Verwirrung stürzen, dann wird dir die Wirklichkeit des Krieges in ihrer ganzen Wucht vor Augen stehen. In jenem Augenblick werden dir tröstliche Vorstellungen von einem gerechten Zeitalter nicht bleiben — sichtbar wird nur die harte Folge, den Streit statt der Versöhnung gewählt zu haben.“
