Karna–Krishna Dialogue: Omens and Dream-Signs
यदा द्रक्ष्यसि संग्रामे भीमसेनं॑ महाबलम् | दुःशासनस्य रुधिरं पीत्वा नृत्यन्तमाहवे
sañjaya uvāca | yadā drakṣyasi saṅgrāme bhīmasenaṃ mahābalam | duḥśāsanasya rudhiraṃ pītvā nṛtyantam āhave |
Sañjaya sprach: „Wenn du auf dem Schlachtfeld den gewaltigen Bhīmasena erblickst, wie er Duḥśāsanas Blut trinkt und mitten im Kampf tanzt, dann wird dir jedes Empfinden schwinden, in einem Zeitalter der Rechtschaffenheit zu leben—sei es Satya, Tretā oder Dvāpara. Ein solcher Anblick verkündet, wie tief die Welt in das harte Gesetz von Krieg und Vergeltung gesunken ist, wo Gelübde und Rache die sanfteren Ideale des Dharma verdunkeln.“
