पितृपक्षे च ते पार्था मातृपक्षे च वृष्णय: । दौ पक्षावभिजानीहि त्वमेतौ पुरुषर्षभ,पिताके पक्षमें कुन्तीके सभी पुत्र तुम्हारे सहायक हैं और मातृपक्षमें समस्त वृष्णिवंशी तुम्हारे साथ हैं। पुरुषश्रेष्ठ! तुम अपने इन दोनों पक्षोंको जान लो
pitṛpakṣe ca te pārthā mātṛpakṣe ca vṛṣṇayaḥ | dvau pakṣāv abhijānīhi tvam etau puruṣarṣabha ||
Vāyu sprach: „Auf der Seite deines Vaters stehen die Pārthas, und auf der Seite deiner Mutter stehen die Vṛṣṇis. O Bester der Männer, erkenne diese beiden verbündeten Flügel als die deinen.“
