अस्तु शेषं कौरवाणां मा पराभूदिदं कुलम् | कुलघ्न इति नोच्येथा नष्टकीर्ति्नराधिप,“नरेश्वर! कौरववंश बचा रहे, इस कुलका पराभव न हो और तुम भी अपनी कीर्तिका नाश करके कुलघाती न कहलाओ
astu śeṣaṃ kauravāṇāṃ mā parābhūd idaṃ kulam | kulaghna iti nocyethā naṣṭakīrtir narādhipa ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana sprach: „Möge das, was von den Kauravas übrig ist, fortbestehen; möge dieses Geschlecht nicht ins Verderben stürzen. Lass dich nicht ‘Mörder des eigenen Clans’ nennen; o König, verwirke deinen Ruhm nicht, indem du Verderben über deine Familie bringst.“
